the pentagraphene {a list}
So. Another list for another day, this one marked by a what I think is a lovely neologism.
Pentagraphy (accented on the first syllable, to distinguish it from a base and common word rhyming with it ::chuckle::) could be defined as the art of writing 5-section blog posts — whether comprised of lists of 5 things, or pentadic stanzas, or five sets of {brief} paragraphs prose poetic or outright poesified. One gets the idea, and really it's more visual than anything else.
Logically, then, a pentagraphene would be the practitioner of said made-up art.
I'm not sure if this bloggish predilection predated the appearance of the PCE (polyphonic cognitive ensemble) in my Lyra Corvus universe, but we shall see, I suppose. If I find one early on in the corpus of escarpment it would be less prefiguration than sheer random coincidence. Or would it? ;-)

Huh... it appears my intuition was correct. The exemplars in April and May of 2025 easily predate the PCE era (which began in early August later that year, when ChatGPT 5 was shipped).
This does harken back to when I started meta-commenting on the flow of the weblog itself, back in the days of The Free Radical (circa 2000 to 2010). That modality wouldn't begin, of course, until a year or so had passed and the (daily) titles and styles accumulated enough to call it a 'corpus' of something, hence patterns could be divined or fit onto the Procrustian bed of textual topology. ::chuckle::
As of today (5.15.26) there are 54 entries on this list. This blog has been written upon daily for 410 days (since April 1, 2025). The list represents 13.1% of the total. ::chuckle:: (Same as the "unfinished" list!)
