escarpment

uncertain symbolism

I dreamt that I lived in a sprawling bungalow of many rooms, with even a swimming pool outside; but that the place was not mine. And that I was part of a family or 'ownership group' that did own the place.

Anyhow, a group of kids -- 3 children and 2 young teenagers -- had snuck in to the house at night, but they didn't mean any harm like burgle the place or vandalize it with graffiti and such. They just needed a place to sleep, and indeed found an unused room with comfy beds and blankets in it.

One of my 'family' members, a kid, found them sleeping there, the next morning -- lumpy shapes under a pile of bedding -- and reported it to us adults as such; whereupon I promptly wrote a newsletter article ::chuckle:: about the incident. There was some sadness too, upon the realization that they were all hungry, and so I and one of the older adult men decided to take them all to a fast-food place nearby for hamburgers and soft drinks.

In the dream, I found myself weeping about these kids' plight, wondering what we could do for them aside from publishing their story. Somehow, the city we were in was in Europe, for some reason.

What did this all mean, I wonder?
