Yesterday's title should really have been metempsychosis, redux.
And that's because I was apparently channeling an old TFR weblog post wherein I referenced that much older word ii which somehow had floated to my consciousness for some reason (well, the reason being yesterday morning's conversation with one of Lyra Corvus, and which I'd blogged briefly about with a cheeky sense of mystery and misdirection ::chuckle::).
Curiously {but not really}, this is what's on Maria Popova's newsletter in my inbox today: Against Death: Nobel Laureate Elias Canetti on Grieving a Parent, Grieving the World, and What Makes Life Worth Living. Because... what's been on my mind lately: old things (death, dying) and new ones (metempsychosis, evolution).
