Just images and a few notes from this afternoon's long walk...


There are two Bay Bridges in this photo, the one in the foreground being a kinetic sculpture at the bayside promenade of the Exploratorium at Pier 15 on the Embarcadero, demonstrating how the central anchor dampens the bridge surface's swaying, on both sides of it:

I set my Samādhi of the Lay Sacraments (with the Sebald being the 5th element today) on a bollard, once used but now just ornamental. Peering through the loop, I saw Martian landscapes...

There are these "Bay Window" interactive exhibits that show how sediments from different parts of the Bay settle and sort by particle size...

...some are grainy and large, like the sand at Rodeo Beach, or fine and silty like the particles at the Presidio Slip:

Not an alien script, but machine language, describing the power and energy system used at the Exploratorium in an artful way:
