end of an era
Yesterday evening it was here...
...today the S.S. Balclutha is gone — they must have furtively towed it out in the middle of the night! ::chuckle::
I knew the ancient, three-master was going to be moved to Mare Island at some point, and expected it to be any day now. I'd wanted to be around to see it being towed, but I guess they didn't want the fanfare. Oh well.
