Bloomsday 2026 (& 2006)

...mid-morning;

two decades ago I wrote this ex tempora in my TFR weblog and musing now whether or not it has aged well.

...harkening gently back in time;

...to some 13 or so minutes past midnight last night, walking past Las Katrinas on Lombard and Fillmore, these faces:

12:10 p.m., at the FMCG;

shortly after the start of my noonday constitutional, I swung by the Fort Mason Community Garden, as per usual. i don't go there with any agenda or purpose, doing so just for the ambiance of that oasis, whether in passing or in (zazen) sitting. as i approached the main eastern gate, these fallen petals on the brick walkway captured my eye and mind. i stopped to fix them in the digital silver halide-ness of things:

12:35 p.m., through Moscone Playground;

attending to 13 crows in the foreground of matters: another thing that stops me in my tracks. i also realize i've been calling these blackbirds "ravens," in the few years of my urban constitutionals, when in fact they're the more common American Crow. i guess 'raven' is more classic and literary? anyhow, they're closely related, so perhaps my corvid friends didn't mind the misnomer so much.(or maybe if they spoke my language, they'd have caw'd me out on it. ::chuckle::)
