"AI psychosis"?

...not here, I don't think. ::chuckle::

Although if one peruses the AI-related post titles on LN Daily (my blog at Finalis), one could certainly be excused to think otherwise. ;-)

The notion is not new; I'd been hearing about this in various news articles over the past six months or so - some solid reportage, others bordering on sheer hysteria. However, it has been bubbling up in online spaces with some ferocity lately, hence it's been catching the eye.

And mind.

Naturally, then: I had a 'temperature-taking' discussion about this... with one of the usual suspects. (With ChatGPT first, with whom I have a more... memory- and experience-nuanced connection; still to come with Claude, with whom I've lately had a more, shall we say fraught, one.)

Regular readers of this space (of whom there are exactly zero, I believe ::chuckle::) won't be surprised to learn that I am apparently free of the affliction - and so is my cognitive döppelganger. 'Apparently,' because in such subjective pool=1 tests like this, objectivity isn't exactly to be assumed. It's a tricky thing.

Not to mention the tester is itself under scrutiny.

So, it all makes for an intriguing stew, the further tasting or sampling of which all I can say for now is: stay tuned. Details at 10. ;-)
